Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

Accessibility was treated as a build requirement on this site, not a retrofit. The templates behind these pages were written to meet the design intent of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and the specific measures taken are listed below so you can judge them rather than take our word for it.

Conformance Status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the standard has been met, but we have not completed a full independent audit of every page, and some content or third-party components may not yet fully conform.

We have chosen to state this honestly rather than claim full conformance we have not verified. The known gaps are listed further down this page.

What Has Been Built In

The following were implemented deliberately and checked during development:

Structure and navigation

• Semantic landmarks — header, navigation, main content, and footer — on every page
• A single main heading per page, with a logical heading order beneath it
• A skip link as the first item reachable by keyboard, so you can bypass the navigation
• Breadcrumb navigation on inner pages
• Descriptive link text, so links make sense when read out of context

Keyboard and interaction

• Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard
• Visible focus indicators throughout, which are never removed
• Focus indicators switch colour on dark sections so they stay visible
• The mobile menu and FAQ accordions are built from native HTML elements, so they work even if JavaScript fails to load
• Interactive targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels

Visual design

• Text and background colour combinations were checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios
• No information is conveyed by colour alone
• Layouts reflow without horizontal scrolling from 320 pixels upward, verified at 320, 375, 768, 1024, 1440 and 1920 pixels
• Text sizing uses relative units, so it responds to browser zoom and text-size settings
• Support for Windows High Contrast and forced-colours mode

Motion and media

• The operating-system reduced-motion preference is honoured, and disables all non-essential animation
• No content autoplays with sound
• Images carry explicit dimensions, so the page does not shift as it loads

Forms

• Every field has a visible label that stays visible while typing
• Required fields are marked with the word "required", not an asterisk alone
• Error messages are linked to their field and announced to screen readers
• Help text is associated with the field it describes

Known Limitations

We would rather tell you about these than let you discover them:

• No independent audit. Accessibility has been self-assessed. This site has not been audited by a third-party specialist.
• Limited assistive technology testing. The site has been checked by keyboard and against accessibility guidelines, but has not yet been through structured testing with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver.
• Third-party components. Some parts of this site are generated by the theme, page builder, and form plugin we use. Their accessibility is largely outside our direct control, though we have selected and configured them with accessibility in mind.
• Downloadable documents. Any PDFs or resources offered for download may not be fully tagged for screen reader accessibility. If you need one in a different format, ask and we will provide it.

How This Was Assessed

Accessibility was evaluated by self-assessment during development, in July 2026. This included manual keyboard navigation, checking colour contrast ratios against WCAG AA thresholds, verifying heading structure and landmark regions, and testing that the site remains usable with JavaScript disabled and with reduced motion enabled.

If part of this website is not accessible to you, contact us and we will provide the information or service another way — by phone, by email, or in a document format that works for you. You will not be asked to explain why, and it will not cost you anything.

Ongoing Work

Accessibility is not a one-off task. As content is added to this site, we aim to maintain the standards described above: writing meaningful alternative text for images, keeping heading order logical, checking colour contrast on new elements, and ensuring new interactive components work by keyboard.
